Start with the equipment and characters you have, then choose the next upgrades. These answers cover missing recommended Arcs or teammates, effect conditions, independent skill targets and material totals that exclude already completed upgrade stages.
What if I do not have the recommended Arc?
Start with the Arc alternatives listed on the character’s build page. Check the Lv.80 stats of the Arcs you own alongside their effect triggers, then consider your planned actions to choose an option whose bonuses you can use.

Use the team reference on your main character’s page as a starting point. If a member is missing, select the characters you have in the team-sharing tool and send a link or image when asking for advice. Include the stage, equipment and upgrade targets in your message so others can discuss your situation.
Select and share the characters you haveShould I choose a build or prepare materials first?
Start with the build for the character you want to use and check its equipment, team references and skill priorities. In the planner, choose a starting point based on completed breakthrough stages and a target stage, then set current and target levels for each of the four skills. Calculate only the skills you intend to raise so the material list matches your next progression goal.
Explore character build guidesHow should I choose an Arc and module set together?
Use the character build as a starting point, then check the Arc’s stats and effect triggers alongside the module-set effects. Consider whether the character’s skills and your planned actions can activate those effects; a higher stat alone does not describe the whole combination.
Check module-set effectsDo equal Arc stats mean equal damage?
Base ATK and secondary stats are only part of the comparison. An effect may require a skill, an Ultimate or a particular sequence. Compare the Lv.80 stats alongside those triggers; matching numbers alone do not establish which Arc suits a character.
Compare Arc stats and conditionsIs a breakthrough cap the same as a character level?
A breakthrough unlocks a level cap; EXP raises the actual level. If the cap of 40 is already unlocked and your next target is 50, select 40 → 50 for breakthroughs. Selecting 30 → 50 includes an earlier stage again. EXP and leveling coins appear separately from breakthrough costs.
Plan character progressionCan each battle skill have a different target?
Basic attack, battle skill, Ultimate and QTE each have their own current and target levels. For example, plan a battle skill from 3 → 7 and an Ultimate from 5 → 8 in one result. Leave an unchanged skill at the same level to exclude its upgrade costs.
Calculate skill materialsHow are materials combined for several characters?
Choose a character from the planner overview, set the targets on that character’s calculator and save the plan locally. Select saved plans for a combined material list. Only one plan per character enters the total, so alternative targets are not counted twice. EXP items are rounded for each character before their quantities are added together.
